Update on Our Learning Continuity Plan for Holland Road
Dear Holland Road Families,
We are thinking a lot about you during these days and hope you are all well. Click - We Miss You! to see our video and share it with your children. We will continue checking in to see how you are doing as things progress as you are truly close to our hearts. Teachers and staff are currently working to plan for your children and we will be sending out our first segment on April 8th. For families that have limited or no access to technology, there will be a delivery of activities for P-9 students that will come with the flyers. The number to call to get flyers delivered to your home is 902 426-3031 x 5 if you are not already receiving them. Here is a link if you would like to have a look through resources for parents: https://www.hrce.ca/learning-at-home. There is also a link to our library with Mrs. Wright on our website under For Parents. Remember that this will not look like regular school and we understand that each family is in a different situation for learning. We have heard from families who are also doing their own learning with everyday life skills and activities while they await the packages and that is great. We hope that the learning and the connection that we will share will help with routine, continued learning and connection with school. Teachers will also share office hours and how best to connect with them once they send out the first segment. Our Number One is that you and your families stay safe and healthy. To our families who are on the front lines, we thank you with our whole hearts and to all of our families, we remain with you. Please do not hesitate to contact us with feedback as we learn how to navigate these times together.
No matter how physically distant we are, we share the community and heart of Holland Road School. Teachers have been touched by the messages they are hearing from students and families. Thank you all, take care, be well and stay safe!
- Your Holland Road Staff
