Dear HRES Families,
As we prepare to start a new school year, we would like to welcome our new families and our returning families. As a reminder, the first day of school for students is September 7th. Class lists should be finalized by Friday, September 2nd, so wait until then to check on PowerSchool.
Open House/Meet the Teacher: We would also like to invite you and your child(ren) to attend our Open House on Tuesday, September 6 between 5:30 and 6:30. Students can meet their teacher and see where their classroom is located. Families are encouraged to bring along school supplies, as well as dismissal information; whether the child is a walker, being picked up or taking the bus. Please provide the bus number for the end of the day (this may differ from their morning bus).
Lunch Monitors Needed: Are you interested in helping out at Holland Road Elementary during the school day, while getting paid? Lunch monitors are desperately needed to support our students and ensure their safety while playing outside. We are looking for full and part-time lunch monitors, as well as a head lunch monitor to help organize. If you are interested, please call the school at 902-860-4170.
Class Lists: We did get some registrations over the summer and are adjusting class lists. These lists will be finalized by Friday, so we ask you to wait until that day to log in to PowerSchool. If you look earlier there is a possibility that your child could be moved and we don’t want anyone to be disappointed.
School Supplies: If there are any issues in getting school supplies, please let us know – we’ve got you covered!
