Picture Proofs & : If your child was absent on the original picture day, retakes will be held on Tuesday, October 28th. If you would like your child to have their photo retaken, please notify your child’s teacher. Proofs are expected to be sent home with students early next week.
Bus Concerns: If your child rides the bus, please remind them of the importance of remaining seated, facing forward at all times. Several drivers have reported concerns with students turning around, sitting with their legs in the aisle, or changing seats while the bus is in motion. These behaviors create distractions for the driver and pose safety risks, as students are not secured with seat belts. Sitting properly helps ensure everyone’s safety. Students should stay seated until the bus comes to a complete stop.
PTA Poinsettia Fundraiser: The PTA is selling Poinsettias to raise funds, which can be purchased through SchoolCash Online. The last day to order is October 19. Delivery will be the week of November 7th
Forestry Month Assembly – Fri. Oct. 10: Holland Road Elementary has been provided the opportunity to host a special assembly tomorrow afternoon with a representative from the Department of Natural Resources. As part of Forestry Month, several foresters will join us to deliver a presentation focused on seedlings and their vital role in sustaining a healthy environment.
This topic is particularly meaningful in light of the recent wildfires that have affected our province. To support the message of environmental stewardship, seedlings will be distributed to both students and staff as part of the event.
PTA Halloween Howl: Save the date!! The PTA Halloween Howl will be held on Thursday, October 23rd . All children attending must be supervised by a parent or guardian. More information about the event will be sent out closer the event.
