Donations for Cake Walk: Cake donations are needed!  If you can help donate a cake/cupcakes, please sign up on the volunteer list using the link above. An alternative is to make a donation through School Cash.

Tickets for Spring Fling:  Visit School Cash to purchase your bundle of Spring Fling tickets.

Supervision: As a reminder, parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their child(ren), or arranging for another adult to do so, during the Spring Fling. At previous events, there have been concerns related to student behaviour and safety, and we appreciate your support in helping ensure a positive and enjoyable event for everyone.

Parking during Spring Fling:  The upper parking lot will be closed off during the Spring Fling, starting at 3:30.   We need this space for the food trucks and so that the bouncers can be set up. We appreciate your understanding!

Cool Treats:  The PTA will be providing frozen treats for all students to enjoy on Wednesday June  3, 10 and 17. Hopefully the warmer weather arrives with these cool treats! Gluten-free and dairy-free options will be available. Please let us know if your child requires one of these options.

Head Lice Reminder:  We have had a few reported cases of head lice and those families have been contacted. We encourage families to continue to check their child’s hair regularly and notify the school if lice are found. Early detection and treatment are important in helping to prevent the spread. Please see the attached pamphlet from NS Health, which contains helpful information about prevention and treatment. NS Health Pamphlet - Lice Treatment, Prevention.pdf

Nova Scotia Loyal Farmers' Market Voucher Program:  Students across the province will once again receive a $10 Nova Scotia Loyal voucher to use at participating farmers’ markets. Families are encouraged to visit participating markets over the summer months and discover all that Nova Scotia has to offer through the Nova Scotia Loyal program. Watch for these vouchers coming home on Wednesday!  NS Loyal Voucher Info.pdf

Tick Awareness:   Visit NovaScotia.ca/TickSafety and learn:

  • How to protect yourself - especially in grassy, wooded, or shrub-covered areas
  • What to do if you find a tick on yourself/your child
  • The signs and symptoms of tick-borne illnesses

Important Bus Loop/Drop off Information:  If you are dropping off your child, please park at the bottom of the hill and have them walk up using the sidewalk.  Avoid using the parking area on the hill—this area is reserved for staff and poses a safety risk for students crossing while vehicles are coming up.

Additionally, please wait until after 8:00 AM to enter the bus loop, as school buses will be arriving up until that time.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe!
