Class Placements for September 2026: Class placements are carefully considered by a collaborative team that includes your child’s current teacher, administration, and Resource/LC teachers. In creating balanced classrooms, a variety of factors are taken into account, including academic needs and abilities, personalities, cooperative groupings, gender balance, friendships, and overall class size.
While we are unable to accommodate requests for specific teachers, we do welcome information regarding any concerns or friendship considerations that may be important for us to know when preparing class lists. Please feel free to email any relevant information to kwest@hrce.ca by Friday, May 14.
New Principal: I’d like to share that Michael MacDonald will be the new principal in September. Mr. MacDonald comes to us from Joseph Howe Elementary School, where he has served as principal and been a valued member of that school community for the past 5 years. I know you will join me in warmly welcoming him. He brings a wealth of experience, a strong commitment to students, and a focus on building positive school communities. I am confident that he will continue to support and build on the great work happening here.
